I studied product design at Academy of Arts Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM), where I graduated with a master degree. I had an opportunity to study at Sheffield Hallam University in Great Britain and at University of Gothenburg in Sweden via Erasmus.
I work as a material consultant for matériO’ Prague with focus on ecodesign and biobased materials. I research new materials, conduct seminars and write articles on materials and crafts. I am also an educator. I coordinate two-semester subject Materiology at UMPRUM for matériO’ Prague. And I am a workshop instructor for organization Designéři Dětem.
I conduct workshops focused on materials and design. Last but not least, I became a grower a few years ago. My surname means something like a garden bed in Czech. I grow flax and carry out material experiments with this immensely useful crop. To think big but act small, I founded a self-service shop Samoobchod Nítovice in South Bohemia to sell local farming products.
